| INTERVIEWS

1)As
you know, the school has revised its mission, vision
and values. What is your opinion about these new
documents?
It is important
to highlight the fact that this process had the
participation of students, teachers, workers, administrators,
parents and board members who shared their valued
criteria and opinions, which allowed for an inclusive,
innovative and democratic definition. |
Mauricio Durango
Vicepresident - Board of Administration |
2)
What do you think are the most important ideas of
the revised Mission?
It was rewarding to hear the students’ suggestion
that the word “responsibility” be included
along with “liberty” to make sure that
freedom of our actions always be accompanied by
responsibility and that there are always consequences
to our actions. It was emphasized that the new generation
of leaders must be conscious about their social
reality as well as the environment, going beyond
their own well-being. Finally, it is important to
recognize the loyalty to the history of our school,
which was founded in a conflictive moment, in which
democracy was tainted. That’s why I approve
of the words liberty and democracy being used in
the mission. See
