The Colegio Americano Libraries and Book Store combine traditional resources with the latest in technology to assist students with their learning. Items include books, maps , videos, manipulatives, and other learning resources. The library computer resources are available on all computers in the school. These resources include the Destiny ®, encyclopedias, and data bases of periodicals.Computer resources are also available at home by using the user name and password you can get from the librarins.

• The Student ID card is necessary to borrow all resources in the library or the book store. Borrowing of cards is not allowed.
• Books may be checked out for one week at a time, and may be renewed if necessary.
• Reference books may be checked out for one day.
• The number of books checked out is determined by the student’s grade level. Kinder—1 book, Grades 1-3—2 books, Grades 4-6---3 books.
• No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
• Computers are used for educational purposes only. (no chat rooms or games.)

• Reference books, videos and magazines may be checked out for one day.
• Each student may check out a maximum of 15 items in addition to the textbooks from the book store.
• No food or drinks (including water) are allowed in the library.
• Computers are to be used for educational purposes only. This means no games, chats, or inappropriate internet sites.
• Audio Visual equipment is checked out on a daily basis. The borrower must return equipment in good condition that it was checked out and all wires, cords and parts must be included.
