Music Program (Pre-Kinder-Fourth Grade). Students develop
musical skills in reading and writing music. Students
sing, participate in Orff instrumental performances,
and learn music appreciation and expression through
music. By the end of the Fourth Grade, all students
are expected to be able to read music and play Orff
instruments, in order to apply to the Elective Program
in Fifth Grade.
Elective Music Program (Fifth-Tenth
Grades) This program offers student the opportunity
to choose a specific musical instrument in different
areas such as, Band, Percussion, Guitar, Choir and Orff
assemble. Some of the areas require extracurricular
classes in order that students practice instruments.
In addition our program includes instrumental practice,
musical theory and music history.
Music and performance is considered
an important and enriching part of our students´
well-rounded education. |
