Second Trimester
GRADE
PRE-KINDER MATHEMATICS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Preschool Math program is designed to introduce
the students to mathematical concepts in a practical
way. We provide developmentally appropriate experiences
and use a wide range of manipulatives. We integrate
math concepts into many other curriculum areas. Math
in preschool is an active process working towards a
true understanding of the real and concrete concepts
of mathematics. Students are encouraged to formulate
and solve problems directly related to the world around
them. Concrete experiences and materials provide the
foundation for understanding concepts and constructing
meaning. Reasoning is fundamental in Mathematics.
