The Guidance Office supports the children
for a healthy emotional development, adequate adaptation
and successful learning.
Guidance staff give personal and group
guidance to the Preschool and Primary section students.
The counselors deal with subjects such as family and
interpersonal relationships, affectivity education,
attitudes, values, prevention of violence and use of
drugs and alcohol, and study habits.
When the students have social, emotional,
leaning or behavioral problems, diagnoses are made and
a plan of action is carefully developed to meet the
student’s needs. Teachers and parents work with
the counselors on developing the best possible solutions
and alternatives to individual problems.
The Department is responsible for the
new student’s admission process. They also coordinate
the Program “Encuentro con Padres”, which
promotes and supports healthy parenting techniques.
The Counselors regularly communicate
with the parents, professionals and other educational
institutions. |
