Visual Arts
Self-expression, media literacy, and communication are at the core of our approach to art education. We provide a comprehensive study of art history, aesthetic discussion, and painting on different mediums. Our curriculum also includes experimental printmaking and object intervention, visual storytelling, and concept art for comic books and animation. We encourage contemporary art production through appropriation, while also promoting the creation of art pieces that revolve around intersectional identity and respond to current global issues. Students have the opportunity to explore photography, filmmaking and editing, and to develop their artist statement, curatorial process, and exhibition-building skills.
Drama
The drama program aims to teach students about the importance of arts in human expression and to develop their self-confidence and communication skills. The program builds resilience and adaptability, as well as a sense of community among students. Through various theater games and warm-up activities, students learn to use their voice, body, and emotions as tools for acting. By the end of the program, students will have gained a greater appreciation for the arts and a better understanding of themselves and their ability to communicate effectively with others.
